In what has been the team closest contested match to date, the first 5 mins set the tone for a fierce battle, with both teams displaying exceptional running and strong tackling throughout.

Jersey took an early lead, showcasing a new and improved mentality with Heath Reeve-Gray crossing the line before a quick counter attack brought the teams level. By halftime, we had built a narrow advantage, leading 4-2 with another try from Heath with James Barton and Teddy Wilson adding their tries . Some powerful runs and well timed passes, made it difficult for the opposition to regain possession. Their defense was equally impressive, consistently breaking down our attacks with relentless pressure.

During the second half a remarkable resurgence from Hove meant the scoreline went ahead 6-5 before it went equal at 6-6 following tries from Eli Harrison and Zach Nicolle. Both sides continued to trade blows, each determined to take the lead. The whole team pulled together with 2 final tries in the last 5 mins from Zach and Teddy making the final score 8-6 to jersey. With both teams leaving everything on the field, coaches and spectators from either side commented on the quality of rugby that was exhibited, its intensity and competitive spirit.
