A game of two halves
Jersey u15’s travelled away to Hove on Sunday for their third league game this season. The first 20 mins saw the Hove being more dominant. Jersey defence held strong until Hove scored two tries in quick succession in the final minutes before the break. The HT the score was 10-0 to the home team.
Under the coaching guidance of Stewart Coombs and Gareth Davies, Jersey found their rhythm in the second half, retaining possession and finally being rewarded on the scoreboard. Slick set-piece play and great team effort enabled Jacob Watson to run in two tries and another by Eoin Mann. Each were successfully converted by the safe boot of Ryan Allen Le Bas. Jersey remained dominant in the second half and kept the home at bay when Jersey were reduced to 14 men. The visitors were unlucky not to have scored more.
Final score 21-10 to Jersey with the MoM awarded to Oliver Ramage.
